I’m a little upset that Ginger’s Birthday party left me with not much Fancy Feast anymore! Her birthday was only May 9 and she has not replenished the Fancy Feast piles for us yet! For my Sixteen birthday today there is not much left to celebrate with – enough to get by though!
But dad did give me a catnip toy. I was tired when I got it and smelled it but Elsa meowed so she could investigate what it was, so dad let her have it for awhile. She cleaned the catnip toy! I fell back to sleep; I love to sleep! I know I’ll clean that catnip toy myself pretty soon; I’ve done it before!
To my Catster friends, thanks for your best wishes for my birthday today. You are making my special day a great celebration.
Thank you for the special paw mails from We Bees Siamese and Da Tabbies O Trout Towne.
Thank you Lynzee, Manytoes (who has a birthday today too!), Tundra & Rory and also We Bees Siamese for making me photos!
Thanks for your comment in my pictures Platelicker!

Thanks to you all, again!

Would you like to help the very worthy Woods Humane Society (where Julie’s kitties were taken) save more lives, and win $100,000? Once a day, up until this coming Monday APRIL 16 you can vote.
Easily, you can go to votetosavelives.org
This is the ASPCA’s $100K Challenge. Please help Woods Humane, & save more animals, by voting!
The background info about Julie is further down if you have not read about Julie. Also Felix, Elsa and Ginger previously wrote more about Julie’s loss in their diaries.
Unfortunately the Woods Humane Society is about #54 on the list so as many votes as you can by you, your family and friends, (if you have several email addresses that might work too) can help push Woods Humane closer to #1. Especially since they’ve been such a help to Julie, particularly in that they don’t euthanize, thank goodness.
We sent a ‘Happy Spring’ card to Julie, with your names in it if you sent us a paw mail to include your names. We’re soon going to send her a “Welcome to your New Home” card with your names in it (and anyone new who’d like to be added, just Paw mail me and we’ll add your names to the card and we will all be listed as “Your Catster Friends”).
Julie had to give up six of her ten kitties when she was forced to move because of her landlord. Five of her kitties went to WOODS Humane Society.
One of her kitties, Beijo, was recently adopted!
Two of Julie’s kitties are still at Woods Humane, waiting to be adopted, and they are pictured there: Marilia and Jules-Verne.
Anyone here in Catster can adopt them too!
You should go see how beautiful they are:
http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/
Graciela is now safely at a no-kill shelter called “Befriended Felines”. They will provide medication and sanctuary for Graciela for life.
Chief Red Cloud was quickly adopted (he’s so cute!)
Chief Joseph was adopted right before Julie’s eyes, at the time she was bringing in a couple of her kitties.
Julie now has only 4 kitties: Fuzz (16 yr. old), Autumn, Tiny Dancer and Squint.
Here is Squint’s Catster page. She is disabled and adorable:

We’re all hoping you can vote for Woods Humane Society to help move them up to #1!
Feel free to post this in your diary too so more votes can be given!
Thank you so much!
Love, Tabatha,

Last night I was just innocently sitting at the front door, away from the other 3 kitties, and the heavy door was open a little so I could look out beyond the glass of the screened door. Elsa and I like to irritate each other. So Elsa walks by the door, not knowing I was behind the door, and I meowed loud to her and reached out to slap her. She jumped and ran down the hall.
Now meanwhile, Ginger was catnapping on a box in the hall. This box was on top of another box. When Elsa jumped and ran, this caused Ginger to jump up and woosh! She sailed off the box, but went so fast she pushed the box she was lying on onto the floor! This noise now scared both Ginger and Elsa and they ran into the water bowls and spilled them all over the kitchen.
Tyson, in the kitchen, hearing all of this noise, and facing a couple of kitties running toward him like they're in a marathon race, runs out of the kitchen and into the dining room.
As the elderly lady in the house, I remained calmly at the door watching this whole mess. Then I decided to get up and walk into the kitchen to observe the chaos around me and find out what the commotion is about. I tiptoe around the spilled water, Elsa has likely run down to the basement, Tyson is in the dining room and I see that Ginger, in the kitchen, has the bushiest tail I've ever seen!
Was I so wrong to voice my opinion as Elsa went by me? Or is there no more freedom of speech!

Thank you kitties for your gifties, pawmails and comments when I was Diary Pick on Dec. 20! Thanks too, to We Bees Siamese for the beautiful Christmas photo to commemorate the day.
Now today on Dec. 24 I'm Diary Pick again and it's Christmas Eve; and for the same Dec. 18 diary. I had not written anything new and it'll be old news now if you've read it!
I've seen this happen to others, and now to me, where the Diary Gal picks the same lucky kitties often during a short period of time; maybe we are chosen by a Diary Santa!
We have an awful slow internet at home, or too-old computer processor, and we (me and the 7 other kitties in the family) can never catch up to sending good wishes to our friends. We catch a few of them but never all of them and it makes us sad when we have to miss some friends' special days. We write their Catster number down and hope one day to send belated wishes.
Thanks for the cute Christmas gifties coming today too; we might get to send ours out later, but please don't be mad if we can't because Dad is going on a vacation in a few days, and his family will get together and celebrate on Christmas Eve.
A few days ago he donated to the Humane Society. If any kitties like doing something special for Christmas, it would be to do something for all those very sweet but unwanted kitties. You know how loving kitties are, yet many don't even have a home. Maybe it's time to adopt one into your family, or donate to a Shelter.
Or do something like this: A kitty named Macy was in the Humane Society here, for a year and never adopted. Nice people would buy her a comfy bed, and a diamond collar, but were unable to take her home (no room for another, or allergy etc), but they did at least buy those nice little things for Macy. Another person even donated half the price of Macy's adoption if only someone would pay the other half. And someone finally did, and she's adopted!
I'm dreaming of warm homes for all stray kitties, and dreaming the lost ones, such as Sieben (Mr. Z), Catster #1004344, will be found!
Right now I'm catnapping and dreaming in a box too small for me; why do we do that!
Merry Christmas to all Catster kitties and their Families! One of my Christmas wishes: Come Home Mr. Z.

When Dad typed my diary for me he made a mistake! He put that I had 5 teeth pulled, but it was only 4 teeth pulled on Nov. 11, 2011!
When he found my pink pee puddles on the floor on Sept. 28/11 he took me to the Vet to have a check-up. It was a full check-up including a check of my mouth. And the Vet saw bad teeth and said I needed teeth pulled and it turned out that on Nov. 11 they pulled 4 teeth.
During the dentistry the Vet saw pebbling, or bumpy raw spots, at the back of my throat. They did a biopsy and sent the test away, and the results showed that I would need depo-medrol shots regularly to treat these bumpy spots and keep them away.
Often during the past I would have depo-medrol shots to treat my tummy, if I got bumpy spots there. Those spots made me lick my tummy so much that my tummy's skin would get red and raw. The shot cleared up the problem. I have not had that shot for a few years now, since my tummy has been okay with no more itchy spots.
I would sometimes have those itchy bumpy spots around my ears too and that shot would make the skin nice and normal again.
So for the future, I'll be getting a depo-medrol shot about every 6 weeks if we see bumpy spots around my ears again; this will let us know that likely my throat has the bumps again.
Now that those 4 bad teeth are gone, I have a really good appetite again! Dad hopes I don't gain too much weight, however, I have always been a big kitty who always loved food!
If I gain too much, I could use this to an advantage and dress up in a red suit and go down the chimneys of all the Catster kitties, meowing "Ho Ho Ho And A Merry Christmas!
Or maybe it should be, "Meow Meow Meow and a Merry Christmas"! I hope you all have one, and a Happy New Year too!

I had 5 teeth pulled a few weeks ago. It all began because Dad found pink pee puddles on the kitchen floor on September 28, 2011. He thought it must be me because I had a couple of times of standing in the litter box waiting to pee, but not peeing. Plus I’m in the kitchen a lot, so he took me to the Vet. They gave me medicine and I peed well again, but the Vet said I really need to have teeth pulled! And later, 5 got pulled and all’s well at the age of 15 ½ and I’m eating dry food and very hungry like I used to be!
Since I’m 15 ½ yr old, this got Dad to finally put on my page the baby pictures of me, born May 12, 1996. My mommy kitty belonged to Dad’s friend so Dad saw me the day I was born. He wasn’t needing a kitty then, so two months later he drove me to the woman who wanted me (she wanted a boy and Dad thought I was a boy!). But on Oct. 31, 1996 I became Dad’s kitty when the woman said she wanted a boy, but I was a girl!
I had a brother and two sisters. The brother was adopted first and then later, on July 14, 1996, we 3 girls were adopted out.
Dad’s friend always called me “Possum”. Dad agreed I looked like one but forgot all about that name till he looked at my baby pictures again. Do I look like a Possum to you? My feminine vanity may be hurt by your answers!

I feel so honored by Catster today, chosen as Diary of the Day! We were all surprised!
We try to get to all the other Catster Diaries of the Day, Birthdays, Gotcha Days and so on but sometimes we run out of time but we write out your Catster I.D. number so we can come back to you later; we don’t want to forget you!
There is one thing my Dad always says and I forgot to mention it in my Gotcha Day diary the other day. He tells me all the time, in his silly kitty-talk, “I love you Tabatha, she’s a pretty girl and she’s a good girl”. I guess he means I’m a good girl because I allow him to carry me up to the bathroom when he gives me a bath (but I pee a little, on the way, as we go upstairs, so now he wraps me in a towel to carry me up for the bath). I don’t often need a bath though, because there are groomings about once a year, or maybe a visit to the Vet for a “sanitary clip”!
At my age of 15 yr. old, he is wondering about taking the Vet’s advice to have some of my teeth pulled. The Vet took tests and said I could stand having them out. My sister Serena had hers pulled at the age of 15 but Elsa was only the age of 6 when she had her teeth pulled. He might take me, for the good of my teeth and health, but he’ll worry about me.
Dad finds it unusual and interesting that one of my front legs is totally grey where the rest of me is not! You can see it in my “Tabatha sleepy in the sun” photo. He always talks to me about it!
I love to be brushed and to sit in the window looking outside. I adore food and catnip toys (and catnapping and sleeping)!
Thanks for your gifties and comments and pawmails today! Lynzee & Family and also Pipo & Minko made me fantastic photos too!

I'm the Hallowe'en kitty! Dad got me on Hallowe'en night Oct. 31, 1996. If he had not been wondering how I was doing and had not gone to see me that night, who knows where I'd be today.
Lately I sleep with Dad more often. I did this all the time when Elsa and Ginger first came in 2007. Then returned to sleeping in the kitchen about 1 1/2 yr after they came. But now I like to sleep by him again; maybe it's because of the colder weather. I sleep on or near his pillow! But I have seen that is Elsa's favorite spot too!
Whenever he goes into the bathroom on the main floor, I must follow him in there because I know he will comb me. But Elsa likes to go in there too, so it's the luck of the draw as to who gets in there with Dad first. She likes being combed too (if she gets in there before me!).
I do cause some trouble though! And this is the only one (except that when I lick my wet cat food, lots of it flies out of my bowl!). For some reason when I pee in the litter box I don't stand all the way in lately, so I pee on the newspapers around the litter box. This means Dad changes the newspapers every day. He never used to have to do that when I didn't miss the box, but it now adds a new duty for Dad to do.
If Elsa or Tyson are near the litter box when I'm in it, I constantly growl at them. It's really Elsa I'm growling at. Will I ever realize she is staying here forever and quit growling!
It's funny how I was not affected when Samantha, Felix or Serena left. I went through no outward sadness; and did not act like I missed having them around. Maybe I always thought I was the MAIN cat of the house, and that they were inferior, though I was younger than they were.
I was affected when Elsa and Ginger came here in 2007; Serena and I stayed mostly in the basement for 1 1/2 years when Elsa & Ginger came. After that we wandered more up on the main floor and got used to the 2 new girls. But even now, Elsa and I still don't like each other. When Tyson came along in 2009, I didn't mind at all! I was used to the invasion of new kitties in the house by then!
Today Dad bought some cat food and the cashier gave him trick or treat bags for all 4 of us; inside were Greenie treats & a catnip toy which was a little bag of catnip (I got mine all wet; I love catnip!).
Earlier tonight, 3 of us were sleeping on the bed. Me at the top of the bed, Tyson in the middle, and Elsa at the end of the bed. She and I tolerate each other sometimes, it seems.
I'm very happy here; I purr for Dad all the time he's near me! And still get up on my hind legs a bit, when he pets me on the head; that's how I got my name "Tabatha Friendly". I don't know what my first parent would have done with me if Dad did not visit me that night in 1996. Being here is far better, and I love it here!
I hope all of my Catster furriends will have a safe Hallowe'en and get bags full of kitty treats!
Love, Tabatha xo

A few weeks ago Elsa and I went to be combed out; we had mats in our fur.
Dad was so sure I'd get a full shave like I did about two or three years ago. And he was so sure Elsa would just be combed out like she was last year. But the opposite happened and I was shampooed and combed but Elsa (Dad was very surprised at this) had to be totally shaved! I was lucky!
He was so upset at how thin Elsa looked that he took her to the Vet for a checkup. With her fluffy fur he did not know she was this thin and he wanted to be sure she was fine. She is fine except she had to have teeth pulled.
The vet said maybe she's not eating enough because of her teeth. That scared Dad too because of Serena's life after her dentistry, but Elsa had some really bad bad teeth that needed to come out and he let God make sure things would be ok. So far so good, for Elsa!
Someday he'll post skinny Elsa on her page. She does look a bit shocking!
Rory made me a nice photo of me and I put it at the top of my page, and it's nicely framed. Thanks Rory!

Goodness time goes by so fast and now I'm 15 years old today!
We certainly had a busy May with Tyson's and Ginger's birthday in May too! It made my Dad stop and think about THAT!
Thanks for the gifties and pawmails and pretty photo from We Bees Siamese which I put on my Catster page!
One nice thing about my birthday: no bath needed today! Other nice things: I get fed when I want, I sleep when I want, I have a nice home and the love of my Dad! Gradually Elsa and I tolerate each other more and more too!
Thank you all and either I will, or another kitty from my family, will be meowing to you on your birthdays too!
